Vida Events is a boutique-style event planning and coordination company founded by Maria + Megan. Our goal is to learn your story, your style, and your vision so that we can create an experience that is uniquely yours. We will guide and support you through an amazing event, from vendor recommendations to the last dance!

I’ve been in the wedding industry since 2016, formerly a catering director working and coordinating over 50 weddings a year. They say that starting a family and a new business at the same time isn’t ideal. But that has proven untrue. In 2018, I was 8 months pregnant when I left my position in catering and we launched Vida Events!
When I am not planning, I spend my days chasing around my toddler, Benny, and caring for my newborn, Lewis. I end my nights with a glass of wine and Netflix with my husband, Jared. I have a passion for clean beauty and sharing fashion-finds on social media (former fashion blogger here!).
Planning couples' big day has been an absolute dream come true, but I’m not your typical Type A planner. Organization and my ability to handle situations with calmness is my strongest feature, but coming at events with a relaxed mindset is what draws our couples in. I love working on unique features to weddings and seeing visions come to life.
Where do I begin?! I have no idea what our wedding day would have turned out like had Megan with Vida Events not been there. She handled all the little details and it allowed me, our friends, and our family to enjoy the day without having to worry about anything other than what the day was all about. I am a strong believer that everyone needs a wedding coordinator, even if it is just day of. I didn’t realize it prior, but the biggest perk to having Megan there was that she takes the hit for everything instead of the bride. All questions were directed to her instead of me, and she kept people on track making me appear to be calm and relaxed. Everyone commented on how smoothly that day went and Megan / Vida Events is the only reason that was possible.

I worked with Maria on June 1st at Blue Hill Farm in Waterford, VA. She is one of the best wedding planners and coordinators I've worked with.
