When your bride and groom want a mix of modern decor + classic design, you go to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. The museum, which has been open for over 90 years, has a space for every bride. From the contemporary Atrium space, to historic galleries and gardens, VMFA captures it all.
The ceremony took place outdoors overlooking the gardens. While it was in a public area, it still felt secluded. With 135 of their closest friends and family, Bria and Adam said “I Do” on a beautiful October day. Seeing Adam’s reaction to Bria walking down the aisle made everything worth it. She wore a stunning Pronovias gown with a train fit for a princess, which was perfectly accompanied by her mom’s pearl necklace and Nana’s tennis bracelet. Adam wore a sleek black tuxedo, with an emerald green tie.
After the ceremony, the couple took to the art galleries for portraits while guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the cafe. How many people get to say they took their wedding portraits in a historic art gallery? It was so special.
The Atrium was the perfect location for the reception. The wide open space allows for creative reign in the floor plan. The black and white color scheme was the perfect contrast to the rainbow wall. After dinner, everyone was on the dance floor! From Dancing Queen by Abba to Lip Gloss by Lil Mama, the DJ played it all. Seeing Bria and Adam tie the knot was so special. You could feel all the love from the friends and family that surrounded them.
