Vida Events is a Virginia + Indiana based, boutique-style event planning and coordination company founded by Maria + Megan. Our goal is to learn your story, your style, and your vision so that we can create an experience that is uniquely yours. We will guide and support you through an amazing event, from vendor recommendations to the last dance!

Hey there! I’m Megan β€”  a homegrown Indiana girl who moved out to Virginia about five years ago. I’ve been working in the wedding industry for several years now with floral design, wedding catering and coordinating. I live for the little details of weddings and the things that make your wedding, you!

The last of Christmas came down this week and it’s one of those weird happy/sad feelings. I’m already looking forward to next Christmas and the upcoming snow this weekend. πŸŽ„ . I’ve been hibernating these last couple weeks. β˜•οΈ Aka: saying I’m busy, but I’m just vegging out on the couch in sweats Anyone else? πŸ™‹πŸ»‍♀️ . The month of December was a whirlwind of travel, with a quick vacay to #Belize and Indiana for the holidays. . I’m so grateful for this downtime and have been prepping hard for our 2020 brides! M A R I A   B A R R A L E

Hello! I’m Maria – the other half of Vida Events. When I am not busy planning beautiful weddings, I’m spending my day chasing around my baby, Benny, and watching movies on the couch with my husband, Jared – usually with a glass of wine in hand! I have worked in the wedding industry for a few years, most recently as a Catering & Events Director – planning and executing over 40 weddings a year!

MY FAVORITE THINGS:

  • When Benny laughs uncontrollably at the silliest things. Toddlers are amazing and everything brings them so much joy!

  • Finding a great deal – whether clothes shopping, home decorating, or vacation planning!

  • Being with my parents in Texas or my cousins in California. I cherish the moments we spend together!
