We recently had the pleasure of attending the Schiaparelli-themed Ornament Exchange at the Salamander Resort. The event was an unforgettable celebration of artistry and elegance, combining the surrealist inspiration of Schiaparelli’s designs with the warmth of the holiday season.
As we stepped into the event, we were immediately greeted by an incredible display of texture and color. The room was draped in ethereal beige fabrics, which floated like clouds across the ceiling, creating an intimate and opulent atmosphere. The focal point of the space was a stunning suspended greenery installation. Designed as a twisting, organic masterpiece, it was accented with deep red florals and gold details, drawing the eye upwards while grounding the design with lushness and vibrancy.
The food stations enhanced the ambiance, seamlessly blending with the decor. Dressed in luxurious satin-like champagne-colored tablecloths with dramatic ruching, the tables exuded a timeless glamour. Adorned with rich red florals, candles, and elegant golden accents, the settings were as much a feast for the eyes as the cuisine was for the palate.
As the night transitioned to the lively after-party, guests were whisked into a celebration inspired by the viral “Girl Dinner”. It was an unforgettable celebration of comfort, fun, and flair, where glamour met playfulness. Guests arrived dressed in their cutest pajama sets, creating an effortlessly cozy yet stylish atmosphere. From satin two-piece sets and fluffy slippers to playful prints and silk robes, the attire perfectly matched the relaxed yet celebratory mood. With everyone embracing the theme, the space felt like an elevated slumber party, full of laughter and camaraderie.
The centerpiece of the party was the open dance floor, which quickly became the hub of energy and excitement. A DJ and saxophonist set the tone with an incredible mix of pop hits, nostalgic throwbacks, and crowd-favorite anthems. The combination of the DJ’s tracks and saxophonist’s live performance electrified the room, with guests dancing and enjoying the dynamic energy
Adding a unique and playful touch, a martini fortune teller offered guests personalized cocktail readings. Sitting at her enchanting booth, she crafted martinis tailored to each guest’s “fortune.” Each drink, from a classic dirty martini to a gingerbread espresso martini, came with a playful prophecy about the guest’s future. This interactive element quickly became a favorite, with guests lining up for their moment of fun and their perfectly shaken martini!
