Wedding Planning Tips

what to do the week of your wedding // wedding planning guide by vida events

Are wedding bells around the corner? 💒 Here are 9 things to do the week of your wedding!

PRACTICE YOUR VOWS | Practice makes perfect. Reciting your vows in private will make you feel more comfortable when you’re saying them in front of 100 guests on the most emotional day!

KEEP YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE SIMPLE | Now is not the time to try new products, masks, facials, etc. Stick to your usuals! With that in mind… now is also not the time to try a new haircut or hairdresser.

EAT REGULAR, BALANCED MEALS | Just like above, now is not the time to try new foods, diet fads, etc. Stick to healthy meals and drink plenty of water!

SEND FINAL DOCUMENTS TO YOUR VENDOR TEAM | Ensure that everyone working on your wedding day has the most up to date and accurate information. Or… have a wedding planner / coordinator that will do this for you!

ORGANIZE YOUR VENDOR TIPS | Head to the ATM and get cash tips for your vendor team that went above and beyond in the wedding planning and day of! Organize tips in envelopes with the vendor name.

GIVE THE FINAL TIMELINE TO YOUR WEDDING PARTY | There is no better way to ensure that the wedding party knows where they’re expected and when then by giving them a timeline with all of the details!

PREP GIFTS FOR YOUR FIANCE, PARENTS, AND WEDDING PARTY | Planning on giving your fiance a gift to wear on the wedding day? A thoughtful note to your parents for leading you to this day? A surprise for the wedding party for helping you through the wedding planning ups and downs? Prep those items now!

BREAK IN YOUR WEDDING SHOES | You’re going to want to make sure you can walk – and most importantly, DANCE – in your wedding shoes. Break them in now.

CHECK THE WEATHER FORECAST | Is rain on the forecast? Make sure to communicate your Rain Plan to your vendor team.

What NOT to do the week leading up to your wedding day? Make unnecessary wedding changes! Now is the time to relax and get ready to say “I do!”
