On April 20th, Alex and Luke celebrated their love with a magical wedding day at Alex’s parents private estate in Virginia. With the best weather one could hope for, their outdoor ceremony and reception embraced the natural beauty of their surroundings.
The ceremony took place in the heart of the woods, where nature’s splendor provided an enchanting backdrop. As guests arrived, they were greeted by a stunning grounded floral arch at the altar, adorned with lush green and white blooms. The aisle was lined with centerpieces that appeared to sprout organically from the ground, covered in soft moss, creating a seamless blend with the surrounding forest. The ambiance was pure magic. The sun filtered through the canopy of leaves, casting dappled light onto the guests who sat captivated by the serene beauty around them. As Alex walked down the aisle, it was as if nature itself held its breath, adding to the breathtaking moment.
After the heartfelt ceremony, Alex and Luke’s guests transitioned to the cocktail hour. Surrounded by several teepees, the atmosphere was both relaxed and sophisticated. A live painter added a unique touch, capturing illustrations of the guests, while everyone enjoyed delectable bites and refreshing drinks. The moss-filled seating chart seamlessly blended with the woodsy theme, guiding guests to their places in the most enchanting manner.
As the sun began to set, guests walked over to a clear-top tent, elegantly set up in the woods for the reception. The transparent roof allowed the guests to dine under the stars while still feeling the embrace of the forest. The tablescapes were a perfect match for the natural setting, featuring green, white, and wooden elements that harmonized beautifully with the woodland backdrop.
Midway through the reception, Alex made a stylish outfit change. She swapped her bridal gown for a chic ensemble of white cargo pants, customized Converse sneakers, and a cute white top, showcasing her fun and modern style. This second outfit was a hit, adding a playful twist to the evening’s festivities.
In honor of Alex’s French heritage, the couple had a croquembouche as their wedding cake. This traditional French dessert, alongside an array of other classic French pastries, was a delightful treat for their guests, adding a touch of Parisian elegance to the celebration.
The dance floor was a highlight of the night. The DJ spun a mix of American and French top hits, ensuring that everyone, especially the French guests, had a fantastic time. The fusion of music from both cultures created a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere, with everyone dancing and celebrating under the twinkling lights.
