When Madeleine first floated the question, “Am I going overboard with all the dachshund and martini details?” we only had one answer: absolutely not! In fact, we encouraged her to lean even further into it. Weddings are at their best when they’re unapologetically you. Every wedding should reflect the couple’s personality. Madeleine and Gregg’s big day at the Congressional Country Club was a beautiful celebration full of love, laughter, and their favorite things—dachshunds and dirty martinis.
The weather could not have been better—clear skies and sunshine set the stage for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. The ceremony space was stunning, with a grounded white floral arch accented by lush greenery at the altar. Aisle markers added an elegant touch, creating a cohesive and timeless look.
After the heartfelt “I do’s,” guests then strolled over to the cocktail hour, where things got even more fun. We created a chic lounge area for guests to relax, sip on their martinis, and mingle. The seating chart stole the show, featuring martini and dachshund pins that doubled as keepsakes. It was such a playful nod to the day’s theme and had everyone smiling.
The reception, held in the club’s elegant ballroom, perfectly balanced the couple’s playful side with a timeless and classic look. White floral centerpieces adorned the tables, adding a touch of sophistication, while dachshund-themed place cards, drink stirrers, and personalized matchboxes brought the fun. The pièce de résistance? A round bar featuring a neon sign that read “It’s Tini Time!”—a perfect nod to their love for dirty martinis.
As the evening progressed, the ballroom transformed into a lively dance floor, with Madeleine and Greg at the center of it all. Surrounded by their loved ones, they danced, laughed, and toasted to a day that was truly one-of-a-kind. Every detail—from the dachshunds to the tiniest martinis—came together to create a celebration that felt authentically them.
Madeleine and Greg’s wedding was a joyful reminder that the best weddings are the ones that fully embrace the couple’s personality. It was equal parts fun and elegant, and we were so thrilled to bring their vision to life!
