Ashton and Ben’s romantic wedding will go down as one of my favorite weddings that we were able to be a part of. They said their “I do’s” at Great Marsh Estate in Bealeton, VA surrounded by 200 of their closest family and friends. Ashton and Ben were wonderful to work with and their wedding day showed just how in love these two are!
Our day started out with the ladies getting ready in the bridal suite inside the Georgian estate, the men taking their groomsmen photos on the back lawn, and the talented vendor team setting up the various event spaces. Great Marsh is the best of both worlds for a venue, sophisticated – a historic estate for an elegant ceremony and cocktail hour, and rural – a rustic stable for dinner and dancing. Nestled on over 120 acres of private property, this venue will leave your guests in awe!

When guests arrived to the venue, they were greeted with a champagne toast and we led them through the estate to the back lawn for the ceremony. They were wowed by the open fields and the stunning arbor – how could you not be!? The talented team at Design in Bloom made this circular arbor come to life! The bridesmaids wore blush gowns, the men in grey suits, and Ashton looked stunning in her A-line wedding gown. After the ceremony, guests were welcomed to the cocktail hour space on the front lawn for passed appetizers and drinks. The cocktail tables were draped with blush velvet linens (my favorite!) and with mini white pumpkins and pink and burgundy garden roses as the centerpiece. We were thankful for a cool breeze on this fall day!
After cocktail hour, we had transportation take guests to the stable for dinner and dancing. Lanterns, gold-rimmed glass chargers, a personalized wine glass and a delicious seasonal salad greeted guests at their seats. Ashton’s dad gave the most heartwarming toast in honor of his baby girl and guests enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner from Serendipity Catering and the dance floor was packed all night thanks to Black Tie Entertainment. As we lined guests up outside for the sparkler send off, Ashton and Ben slow danced to their favorite song on an empty dance floor. A beautiful way to end the night with the one you just married!
