As wedding planners, our lives are often a whirlwind of tulle, flowers, and endless checklists. Every now and then, we stumble upon an event that defies all expectations and transports us into a realm of creativity and innovation. This past Valentine’s Day, we had the privilege of attending Grit and Grace’s Love Brunch, hosted by our friends and fellow wedding planners, at the Salamander Resort. Little did we know, we were about to embark on a journey into the world of vampires, love, and impeccable design. The moment we stepped into the Salamander Resort, it was evident that this brunch was unlike any other. Instead of the traditional romantic motifs associated with Valentine’s Day, the theme embraced the allure of the vampire aesthetic. From bows to lace, garlic to leather, every detail exuded a sense of dark romance that was both mesmerizing and captivating.
Breaking away from traditional Valentine’s Day hues, the color scheme and dress code were all about embracing the dark and sultry side of romance. Attendees adorned themselves in sophisticated black, mysterious grey, and passionate burgundy. It was a refreshing departure from the typical reds and pinks associated with Valentine’s Day. Inviting guests to embrace their inner vampire with attire that ranged from elegant evening gowns to sleek leather ensembles.
One of the standout features of the event was the attention to detail. From the intricately designed centerpieces to the elegant yet eerie table settings, every element added to the overall ambiance. The garlic climbing up the candelabras was definitely one our favs. But perhaps the pièce de résistance was the unique piano menus that adorned each table. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, these one-of-a-kind menus combined elegance with a touch of the macabre, perfectly encapsulating the essence of the event.
