Real Wedding

Mya + Samson // Ethiopian Wedding at the InterContinental Willard in Washington D.C.

From the moment we met Mya and Samson, we knew their wedding was going to be something truly special. Their sweet and genuine nature made every step of the planning process a joy. As their planners, we had the honor of bringing their dream wedding to life at the iconic Willard Intercontinental in Washington, D.C.

Mya looked absolutely stunning in her intricately detailed bridal dress. The gown’s exquisite craftsmanship and elegance highlighted her natural beauty, making her glow with happiness throughout the day. Samson complemented her perfectly in his sharp black tuxedo, exuding sophistication.

One of the standout features of Mya and Samson’s ceremony was their monogrammed runner. Adorned with elegant candles down the aisle, the runner added a romantic and personal touch to their wedding ceremony. The soft candlelight created a dreamy ambiance and made the moment they said “I do” even more magical.

It was important to Mya and Samson to celebrate their Ethiopian heritage throughout their wedding day. They wanted their guests to experience the richness of their heritage. Their reception featured authentic Ethiopian food stations, offering a variety of traditional dishes that delighted the guests. At each table, guests found bottles of Tej, a traditional Ethiopian honey wine to enjoy, adding a unique and personal touch to the dining experience. This cultural representation was not just a nod to their roots, but a heartfelt embrace of their identity and family traditions.

The Willard provided a stunning backdrop for this unforgettable day. The historic charm and grandeur of the venue perfectly matched the elegance and sophistication of Mya and Samson’s wedding. Every detail, from the floral arrangements to the decor, was meticulously planned to reflect the couple’s style and love story. Their wedding day was a beautiful celebration of love, culture, and family.
